Confused with the terminology?
Let Stratcore clarify the tricky financial reporting terminology. One of the biggest pitfalls when translating English annual reports and interim and quarterly reports is finding the right wording and terms. Since 2005, Swedish companies that are listed on a securities market within the EU/EEA are obliged to follow the International Financial Reporting Guidelines Standards (IFRS), but many still use old-fashioned terminology from the 1990s and early 2000s.
An example of something that can be confused is the term “tangible fixed assets” which was previously translated as “tangible fixed assets” in English but is now translated as “property, plant and equipment” according to the IFRS standards.
